K-frame bracket question

1975 Duster Slant 6. Trying to put the bracket back on from front of K to the radiator support. If I put it on the way I believe it is suposed to go it will hang pretty far below the K. I'm thinking one or more of the parts involved may be bent wrong. Should front lip of K be flat across or bent up? Can someone post a clear pic please?
