But is it a 6 or 8 cylinder k frame.

You will need to take a measurement of the mount perches . With the K member installed measure from frame rails to top of perches, V8 is approx. 4" and S6 is approx. 2". Looks like yours is not installed so measure from top to top of perches, V8 is approx. 20" and S6 is approx. 22 1/4".
