Greetings Fellow Moparites.
im new to these parts and im hoping to get some advice on my 75 dodge dart sport.

shes got a 225 slant six in her. and im trying my darndest to change out the oilpan gasket from her. but ive got the K member blockin two bolts, now granted im no stranger to being under a car, but im confused as to how to SAFELY get to these bolts and also how to get the whole pan out without having to remove 9/10 of the car , im used to workin on my C-Body fury (MORE THEN ENOUGH SPACE TO MOVE). this is obviously not the case with this one.. lol . if anyone could help me with this i would be greatly in your debt!

thanks!!

In the past I have unbolted the motor mounts and jack up the engine. Then I put a 2x4 piece of wood between the motor mount and the k frame. This gets the motor up enough to get the 2 bolts out with a swivel extension on the end of a long extension, I usually use 1/4 drive sockets. Once the engine is up I undo the centerlink (steering linkage) and remove it from the car. Thats how I do it. It seems like a lot but in the same amount of time you look and stare at it to get a plan you could have your oil pan out. Good luck.
