King Krate anyone?

I don't know. Anyone who needs an engine like that for a street car must be compensating for a certain smaller...attributes...lol.

I've heard some sketchy things about Muscle Motors. I love my 2nd-gen Hemis but that's just too much IMO.

Too much is never enough! There's a young dude in my city with a nice looking '68 or '69 Firebird. Doesn't look like much until he opens the hood and there's a twin turbo'd Poncho motor. Bugger hit 1,100 hp at the rear wheels last summer!

$16.000.00 for that..you can have a hemi built with more h.p./tq. for about the same...small blocks rule anyways..

I know dont have them build a magnum motor, two guys I know had 408's built by them and both motors had screwed up machining. Both motors were junk less than 1 year after getting built by muscle motors.

Built by who? Indy or Barton would want $25 to $30K for a Hemi. $16K seemed like a deal.

While I do like my 340 in the Demon, I still want a HEMI. And what I wants, I gets........ eventually.

If i had a hemi built it sure wouldn't be barton or indy building it....

Did you see the Oct issue of Mopar Muscle? There is a all aluminum 572 Hemi that runs on pump gas and made 775 HP and only weighs 527 pounds fully dresed out. Now thats a motor I would like to have.

there is or was a member on here that put hemis in a bodies. very clean stock looking cars. for some reason i think he built them and sold them or built some for paying customers or something. but if i had the money i would track one of those down:) all that power with the lil a body weight that would be killer

Tim Banning, FHO... He'd build one if I needed one built. Now way Indy or Barton would touch them. I dont think MM does bad work at all. However an oldschool Hemi for that cash is just not doable.

spoke with Tim at FHO earlier today, when the time gets here, eventually, FHO will probably be the ones to empty out my retirement fund........in a previous post someone mentioned someone who has put a hemi in a dart a couple times, Hemicop is working on his third one. 8)

I guess that explains why 98% of his engines and parts are Chevy and Ford (with a couple Nissans in there too). What's the deal with that? Is there something he knows that people who actually use Hemis don't?

Oh i see just because his work is mainly brand x,that must mean he knows nothing about hemis..which couldn't be further from the truth a qualified engine builder is a qualified engine builder,by the way he was the engine man on a very successful alcohol dragster running hemis of coarse,to bad your not local i'd take you by his shop so you could see the quality of his work,it'll probably leave you speechless,by the way he's a one man operation where quality control is at its finest...can't say that about barton or indy..

i had an engine built by muscle motors, it took 5 weeks longer than they said, dyno date was early may could not pick up the engine until the end of june. ran it for five or six race then the rocker broke, popped the valve lock, dumped the valve and destroyed the head and cylinder. they said that was to bad, they would build a new engine for me. had $18,000 in the first one. had a local shop do the machine work and i talked with a few guys that assemble there own engines, read a few books, purchased a few extra tools. i haven't had a complaint. sold that engine in my race car and still runs strong. i rather build my own.

www.hekimianracing.com...this guy has forgotten more about hemi's then barton or indy will ever know...

An why is that?

Ive lost count on how many people from this way (australia)
have gone out
of there way an pay good money to get barton to build them a tuff hemi motor!
Hell if i had a blank cheque book, from the top of my head i think
of giving ray barton a call!

Ive read nothing but good things an proven results by barton.
Please feel free to tell me otherwise, even via pm so
shop wars dont start on here lol.

Im only asking because since your there,im guessing you know
more backround info an what goes on,more than i do!
An no im not being sarcastic, id like to know!

cheers:cheers:
