Yeah try not to cut the hood if you can help it. Do you have a carb spacer on it? If so do you really need it?
This is the air cleaner I use on my car Fred and a 2.5-3" air filter. I still have lots of room. This was with the cast intake but the aluminum one I have now there is still enough room.
It's an air gap intake manifold no spacer.
I got it to fit but can't use a wing nut on the top of the air cleaner so no big deal.
Glad it fits not really wanting to cut the hood up and would get a different hood if I did mine is to pretty to cut it up.
Damn Mark that's nice looking you keep it real clean.
Wish it was back in the 60's I'd like to stay there. lol

Ok no offence ,you guys in the states are not being made out in the news very well , all the protest to get back to work is ,in my mind scary , seems like there are pressures from people that aren’t being safe ?
