If that is the DB5 that Bond drove in the movie, I'd have to take it over the others. It auctioned at 6.4 million last year. My cousin living in Spokane at the time had a real Starksy and Hutch car. I remember the windshield being sloppily installed and it had a switch to dim the headlights for the cameras.

I probably wouldn't be able to fit into the DB5 either.........sigh..........the curse of being tall.

Hey BP I think I'm gonna get me a VW bug to restore next or find one running in good shape.
I must be crazy but what the hell.

Some cool Karmin Ghias out there too. My dad fixed up a couple for my sisters to drive to school. He painted one of them lime green with a forest green fog around the bottom. We called it "The Grunt" I ended up breaking the transaxle in it by grabbing the parking brake and sliding it sideways on a gravel road. Sorry Dad

only type of bug you'd ever catch me in

Just finished hard wiring in my new elec. heater and it actually works.
Didn't even get shocked !
Time for a beer. lol:thumbsup:

Mine work again. Been acting up for a couple weeks. Come out in the shop and it would be cold. Fiddle with the thermostat and it would come on. Finally got tired of it.

Last one only lasted 3 years. Took the old one apart, cleaned thee contacts with some #400. Works like new on the ohm meter. Could have saved me 23 bucks. Shouldn't let the painted tamper proof screws scare me next time.

I think I should stick to a stock bug so I don't kill myself.
Use to use the emergency brake to slide a lot and like you said sorry Dad.
My sister had one, I think it was a 74 or 75 Super Beetle, did great donuts, just get it spinning and hold the wheel and throttle and it would keep spinning. I did about 30 of them around a telephone pole in front of a friend's car wash one winter day. She never knew of course, she drove that damn thing for years, until it literally fell apart from rust.
Here's one for ya Fred! Cheap too, figure with the exchange rate you be in for like $600.00!
