They sure can be vicious especially if they have young. They have a large talon on their middle toes and they can really do damage with it plus hitting you with the wings as well. Nasty bird really.

An Irish custom is at midnight you open the front door to let the old year out and the new one in. This year I might open all the windows and doors to make sure it leaves lol
