Man you guys been busy this morning. Nice to hear Johns' Demon breath some fire. You Tube is one way to get movies on here. Generally speaking, a video host is what is needed. Some are free. Some are not. In the professional world, YouTube is substandard. In an auto discussion forum, You Tube is great. I use Google drive. Its an app that comes with the internet web browser Chrome along with a host of other apps. I'm sure some people will bash Google just like anything else. I have a youtube account too and that works ok too. I like the google interface better and has more control than the free version of youtube.
I did not know about Google drive, I use Chrome, will have to investigate it, thanks.
I learned another new thing, that's 2 this week! Brain might be strained if I keep it up.

:rofl:Not to stubborn but might take some time to sink in. lol
It can be daunting. Some of it seems so simple but yet so far away. I dove in balls deep in 1996. $1400 machine, all the books for dummies, even built a few. Hodgepodge many machines. Kinda became less interested and I now feel lost again with the tablets and stuff. I think I've drawn a line.
I saw a commercial about filing for social security the other day... YUP, they got an app.

I think that's what I use as well I never looked.

Well guys my oldest grand son is 16 and just got his drivers licence last month and he's been working after school for a Buffalo farm about a half mile from his house for the last 2 years and just bought his first pick up it's a 97 Dodge with a cummins diesel that is putting out over 500 hp.
Can you say more gray hair from his grand father! God help him please.
A great boy well mannered but he burnt himself in a fire at the age of about 10 and bad. Skin drafts and a long time in the hospital recovering from it and still gives me tears thinking about when he was found running across his yard completely on fire and a friend grabbed him and put the fire out.
His dad is bringing the truck over here and we will do what we can to lower the HP lots before he can drive it.
Damn grand kids just add more wrinkles to my already prune face.

What a horrible thing to endure. Hope he enjoys the truck. Needs a speed governor. Prune, HA, thats what they called one of my Uncles.

Was thinking of bolting a block of wood under the gas pedal but as you know kids will figure a way to remove the safety devices. lol

Maybe a good idea that way he'll learn to not try it again when he comes to a stop and tries to burn rubber around a corner and puts it in the ditch the first time.
I’m sure we’ve all been there . Wooo hooo oh chit , walk home call a buddy get pulled out laugh tell the story 40 years later ....

If it’s a 12 valve I think 96 still was there’s a adjustable throttle rod you can mess with so it doesn’t get full throttle,I think , long time since I’ve seen one ,I know they used to fail and I replaced a few ?

I guess I'm not sure Biff it's not my decision to make but will do my best to slow the kid down till he gets use to the truck.

Diesels I found always wound up then you back off the throttle it still pulls usually just long enough to get in trouble, like the dealership I worked for let the salesman drive a truck on the rink between periods with the team mascot in the back so he gets to centre ice boots it mascot just about falls outta the back of the p.u. He came inch’s from the boards he came off white as a gost it was kinda funny , when it spooled up wipped around would have made a huge mess .lol

Wow Fred. What an awful thing to have happen not only to your grandson but to anyone. Must be a gutsy kid to go through all this but hats off to him. I think I know where he gets that from.
I worked with a guy many years ago with the same thing. He and his buddy were playing at a cement pipe manufacturing plant. Being mid Winter they grabbed some gasoline and decided to make a small fire in one pipe that was enclosed at the back.
They started the fire and he decided to throw some more gas on the fire. Of course the gas can caught fire and the rest is history. His nickname was Torch.
We were working one night at the carpet factory and his machine kept shutting down so he was cursing and swearing. I yelled over "You having fun over there John"? He came back with "I haven't had this much fun since the night I got burnt".
He then started laughing. Personally I think this was his way of hiding his feelings. The Dr told him with his severe burns he doubted he'd be able to have kids but he proved him wrong. Unfortunately I've lost contact with him.
