Lucky I don't have a basement it would be wet.
I hope it dries out before it freezes but like you said it is the season.
Working today but told the boss I'm hanging up my work hat the first of the year.

Don't know how you do it Biff I could never handle being a mechanic.
It is getting a bit frustrating for sure the cars are getting like the millennials just silly in there design, things that needn’t be so difficult but I guess that’s why I have a job !

So had the procedure done this morning. More involved that yesterday. Feel like a pincushion and half my chest ripped off from the sensors. Those things stick like **** to a blanket. Good job I don't have a lot of chest hair but I do have less now lol. The girls are really good there and are a lot of fun.
Just have to contact my Dr and get results tomorrow.
Just finished cutting the grass and it was spiting the last 10 minutes but got it all done. Got rain for the next 2 days so had to get it done.
Have a great evening guys.

Security system is just about ready to install. Got most of it figured out and thinking about placing the 2 cameras right now. Figure the bathroom would be a bad idea. lol

Replaced a bent tie rod sleeve on our 65 Valiant, and I needed to adjust toe in. So my wife helped me by holding one end of tape measure from the floor. Really helped me and I appreciate her greatly.

Did she get the smart end of the tape:lol:

Have you guys ever tried to blow an engine intensional? Had a 69 GMC half ton 250 six banger truck and engine were beat. Decided It’s going to shredder. Fill it up with oil and water went out in back 40 and let this thing scream under load not free rev. I wanted it to splash con rods out sides of block. Well after about 30 min of power turns, brake stands, miss power shifts and just generally holding it to the mat nothing smoked a little more but was still running. Finally I put a brick on the peddle and let it go after about 15, 20 minutes it stopped no explosion no rods bouncing nothing just stopped. Never looked to find out why just took battery out and shipped it. Pissed me off I really wanted an explosion.

worked in a wrecking yard as a kid and blew lots of engines. Some threw rods and others just ran out of gas.

Was talking with a bunch of guys who all own muscle cars of some make breed or form over beers in my pals shop. There’s 8 of us. My pal lives next to hwy that was built next to the hwy it replaced the old hwy serves as a service rd. We decided that over the winter we would all collect decent used tires and steel rims for our respective cars. Haven’t set a date yet but next summer we will hold the first local burn out championship. Oh forgot to mention my pal has a tire machine and balancer. Wondering if any body has a list of things to judge on to decide winner. Should be fun

Sounds like fun would like to be there for that. I'll bring the beer....

Not long ago one of the local car clubs had a show right up the street from here. Blocked off a couple of the local streets and filled numerous parking lots attached with show cars. The show also included a Burn Out Contest on an adjacent County road. I watched some of it, some of them were very impressive. Just out of curiosity and being an asphalt producer I walked over to check out the effects on the asphalt. As expected the bleach box, so to speak, was badly affected, large depression where the top inch of asphalt used to be . From there were numerous sets of track marks burned 1/2" into the asphalt. "This is not going to be good" I think to myself. Couple weeks later a little County patch truck comes in for material at my plant, just a couple tons of extremely fine material, Sheet Mix it's called, nothing but hot sand and oil. "What address should I put on the ticket?". "Orcutt" he says. "Let me guess, Broadway over there by Jack's Cafe?". "Are you psychic? HTF did you know that?". The next year they moved their show and contest into town where they could abuse one of the city streets.

2 cameras on line and hard to tell but the garage camera has a view of my house back door and the house camera has a view of my back door entry and my bedroom. 2 more cameras and should be set. It will ring my cell phone if any movement and record as well.

And just a thought on spinning tires on an automatic. Best to shift in second gear not first if you plan on letting off on the gas or it could toast your tranny.
Transmission guy told me that and explained why but can't remember the name of the part it would rip out.
