After screwing up the plug and then the mold I been fixing another center console plug and not cutting corners again. I'll pay the price and do it right this time. Don't know why I even bother trying to make more but I do.

set up my jig and sharpen my datio blades, but tomorrow I will be able to produce a beautiful ash box for my brother in law’s remains. Pic are of experimental joints. Dealing with thousands of an inch spacing is critical.

Bet you will do a good job on the box and sorry about loosing your brother in law.
Would like to see it when your done I know finger jointing is hard Iv'e done a bit of that and yep not easy.

Those are tricky things to make, because of the intended cargo


I build this a few years ago
It housed my father in laws remains for half a decade, untill his wife died and we mixed their remains together


The clock on the front was his and most of the nails used to build it came from his toolbox

Little added detail
The clock is no longer correct, but since he is the last one to have adjusted it, I let it be

Containers hand built by family members just have something that a machine made, store bought units don’t. No money can buy that.
 
Morning guys and happy Turdsday. More rain today they say but will try and put the xmas lights up outside today between showers.
Shopping is a must today... Costco and Wallyworld
