Think duck you know like water off a ducks back. But that being said it is your sandbox so it is your rules. Don’t have to be rough about it but stand your ground my opinion for what it’s worth.
I have no problem with my mother in law taking over the house and doing things her way its my garage and in my garage it's my rules and we will get along just fine.

Well Fred when does your new roommate move in ? And what is your age difference between you two.?

Well Biff in about the end of the month and she is 20 something years older than me so puts her about 50% more senile than me??? I think anyway. lol

She's lucky to have you Fred. I'm sure her heart is broken as is yours with the loss of her husband.

My mother in law lived with us for about 5 years before she passed

One of her issues was she had alzheimers and that definitely compounds the difficulty

It can definitely be a challenge but the Bible tells us to honour our parents and i cant think of a better way to do it then to take care of them when they no longer can themselves

Morning guys and Happy Tuesday.
Hopefully it works out Fred. I know you'll bend over backwards for her so she is comfortable.
You may have to go for a walk on a regular basis so you don't get overwhelmed.
As much as I loved my mom I don't think I could have had her living with us and definitely not my Mother-in-law. She drove my wife crazy at the best of times.

My mom was like your mother in law she drove us all nuts even as kids.

Car show this weekend and looking forward to it.
This one is pretty close so will see some friends there.

I dont know what her condition is, but there are days keeping her alive is all you can do

It may be a real struggle at times for you and the missus, but looking back on it these will be the times your wife will never share for the world

Come to think of it, today is the one year anniversary of my mother in laws passing

Mentally She's in good shape just getting harder for her to get around and her blood pressure is always up or down. She doesn't want to be alive much longer but wants to be with her husband so don't think she'll be around long.
The hard part is I'm single but my youngest son is staying with me and will help out.

You and your family blessed her and I'm sure she was happy.
