Got a technical question guys. As you probably know the headlights on an "A" sucks at the best of times. My car has Halogen sealed beam headlights and they aren't that good.
I talked to a guy at the local speed shop today and he said the old Halogen lights weren't that good to start with. I asked about LED and he said the new Halogen lights are just as good as the LED ones and much cheaper.
Has anyone had any experience with the new Halogen lights and what is your opinion?
Confused and in the dark lol (no pun intended)

I have newer style Halogens in my Scamp and work well but I was talking to Fat old guy and he has LED and said they are even better so best ask him.

Hi Fred... yeah I was talking to him this morning and showed me what they were like and I must admit the LED's sure are bright. Thanks Fred

Also just my 2 cents Mark the stock wiring harness is not designed to handle higher amps and causes problems with Halogen head lights. Just what I read a few years back.

First off, nighthawk halogens

Then cracked back wiring harness (or make your own)

That should be all the light you need

Fred is right the amps the halogen lights use melt harness , even in new cars the higher wattage bulbs destroy the pig tails .

Yup see that a lot. People putting wrong lamps in. I'm surprised more of this junk doesn't burn to the ground.

Good morning guys and thanks for your help. I was really concerned when you said about the higher Amps needed and burning wires, that makes total sense.
I'll put up with the lights I have to be on the safe side.
Hope everyone has a great day and thanks once again.

It's Moparfest in New Hamburg this weekend, near Kitchener. Always a big event with well over 1000 cars and vendors. Mr. Norm used to be there every year until his passing.

The hustle is on here this weekend. Prepping that Magnum my son raced last year. Wednesday is the race then 1 more left next month.
