Good morning guys back to reality today working from now to Friday at least .:canada:
 
Going back to work tomorrow seems like all the traveling this year has caught up to me and really not wanting to pound on fenders but I got to do something to keep afloat.

I hear ya, it’s time for me to hang up the apron. Boss is having both knees replaced next Tuesday. So I won’t get sucked into working for at least a year by that time I’ll be doing my own thing so here I go woo hoo.

Hope in a month I can get back to being retired.
Hate working on new cars and dealing with insurance companies.

Yup know what you mean ever go to a 1940’s house and have to put new windows and doors in it. Even with custom made for the existing openings it’s a nightmare. Sometimes the only thing you can do is shmo it together. Glad those days are over, just hate doing shmo jobs. Don’t feel right talking money for half a job. But it’s what the home owner wanted. CHEAP.

Start over is all you can do but not going to happen.
Just like an old car with rust all over and people want a cheap repair and then add way more horse power than the car from new could handle.
Rusty frame or rotted boards we both are in the same boat. Fix it the best we can for the money.

Reminds me of the 1st gen camero I got stuck with. The manager Is good at spreading the **** work between the repairers and you usually know when it’s your turn. Same with the train wreck collision jobs. Anyway, this Camero. Complete repaint and it shows up with patch panel rear quarters. Okay but the inners are gone too. Nope, can’t afford inners. WHAT??? Boss says “do what you can”.
Hmmm. So I glued what was left of the inner to the new outer panels.
Now, the piece of **** looks really good and all of the sudden the owner has enough money to pay to have $1500 worth of “real”smoke“ hand painted on the front fenders.
Friggin guy painting the smoke made way more money per hour than I did. I’m still pissed off And that was 15 years ago.

Well doing something rather than nothing isn’t a bad trade off , if your good your good people know it and what’s wrong with a little extra $$$ in your pocket .

The win was quitting that job. You get that. The manager was skimming if not outright embezzling. Taking money from me is stealing. I don’t get over THAT!!!

Seems like that happens a lot. I agree steeling from someone for your own gain is as bad as our government taking all we have to better the rich.

Yes I understand fully , today is a better day my friend ! And **** them the money you lost you made up for with quitting and moving on . I am also upset with my past employer but today was a better day and **** them im better without them . If that helps .

Well, no that doesn’t help. Brings up another sore subject. Love your attitude. That certainly helps and I am inspired by all of your volunteer work and positive posts. :thumbsup:

Just trying to cheer you up I have been in your exact position but I can only live for today ,yesterday is gone and tomorrow is a new day , resentment is toxic .

Kind of go down the rat hole now and then. I have it good. Still like to punch that prick in the throat.
