Dad ran a 35 Dodge at the local 1/4 mile round track.
Good morning guys today I'm sticking a different 3rd member in the Scamp.
Taking that trip to Pittsburgh is about 1200 miles and running 4:10 gears even in over drive I can't really cruise over 60 MPH SO! got a set of gears from a friend that are 3:23 and in overdrive puts it about 2:53.
It's not a sure grip just an open 3rd member but not going racing anyway.

Don't have to put up with a lot of crime around here so I guess the weather makes up for it.

Crime is getting worse around here. Young punks breaking into cars and stealing stuff. Like to catch the little bastards. Glad both cars are in the gaarge and everything locked up. As you probably remember years ago we could go out and leave the house unlocked or go to bed with keys still in the car. Everyone had respect then, not now unfortunately.. And if they do get caught it's a slap on the hand.
Glad you put in camaras and hope you never have another problem.

Punks from the city. If they get caught in the act by the local boys usually doesn’t work out to good for them. I put 3.23’s into the Dart so I could drive around and not burn ridiculous amounts of gas. The 4.88’s are sitting on the shelf with all the shims but likely never go back in. 3:40 pm thinking about a shot of Bushmills Irish whiskey, good idea Mur cheers guy’s

Poured here for about 4 hr saw water running off hwy so should be no bad. Mistake about gear they’re 3.21 it’s an 8.25 diff
been learning on the difference in rear ends Mine is an 8 3/4 the housing I got in 3:23 is 741 witch is made for a slant 6 but was also used in the early 426 hemis.
Not going to the races with it just want something I can drive long distance.

Might get into the whiskey this evening, I've been behaving myself for the last few weeks, think the wheels on the wagon are starting to wobble a bit. Should take the winter tires off the wife's car first, or maybe not. Decisions, decisions.

As far as I know the only difference was in the pinion something about a step or tapperd pinion. Google it

My buddy with the white Dart just changed his gears from 3:23 to 3:91. The 3;23 worked good when he had the 4 speed in it but when he put the 5 speed in it he said it didn't pull as well in 5th gear. Works good now he said with a grin on his face
