Had to do a $5000 mental evaluation on my son and tests came back as an above average IQ and normal everything else. The doc. didn't make it either.
Did your lawyer ask for a mistrial?

No the judge said he was not going to sentence anyone without knowing all the facts.
Seems like he might be a good judge.

I think the lawyer has to ask for a mistrial and then the judge decides yes or no. I guess $5000 ain’t enough to get the Dr. to show up. Sounds like racketeering to me.
should have been from the beginning wasn't that big of a deal in the first place but small town bullshit.
The judge was nice this time but I have to agree with you and am tired of it.
They should not be able to waste your time needlessly like that, I can understand one continuance, but beyond that, charges should be dismissed IMHO.
I would always elect to go to court any time I got a traffic ticket, when the cop failed to show, charges were ALWAYS dropped.

They should be fined for not showing up unless it was an emergency.
