Morning guys.
Not much going on today. We were going to go to the cenotaph but it will be very windy so we'll watch it on TV.
I will go to the cemetery to take the poppies down though after 12 noon.
Have a great day and remember to have a 1 minute silence at 11am

My mom’s uncle Frank died at Flanders. There is a lake in the Whiteshell Provincial Park the government named after him. Lest we forget. That’s why we wear the poppy

Got up to the cemetery right after lunch.
There is a big pond and it's always got Canada Geese. Well there is all kinds of goose **** all over so have to be careful where you step.
All that **** plus 40mph winds. The leaves were flying all over the place.
It started to sprinkle a little bit then stopped after a few minutes.
I was glad when I got back into the car and got home.
Have a great evening

Morning guys.
Cold but sunny today.
Neighbour across the road works for a landscaping place. He text me yesterday and said he was coming tomorrow with the big vacuum truck to clean up his leaves and he would do mine as well. He's a great guy.
He used to be a cop but has PTSD really bad so had to quit. He's one big sob so wouldn't want to tackle with him.
Have a great day

I have a cousin who WAS a narcotics officer and had to get out....he said the money was not worth the sh*t he had seen. Worked out of the Hamilton downtown region. Not the nicest area to raise kids. He saw parents all coked up with their kids in the same room. Guns and drugs lying around for the kids to see in multiple homes he was assigned to infiltrate. It almost cost him his marriage. Had to stay out at all hours of the night. He lasted about 3 years and that was enough for him. You noticed his attitude on life changed after he got out for the better.

Yeah it can be brutal and you also see the favoritism within the upper echelon. It's not all coffee and donuts

Wife and I went shopping for a FEW things. 84 bucks later haha
I had to go for a blood test and as I was walking across the road a dumbass in a sports car came by with the top down.
It was 5 and a minus 0 windchill and a strong wind.
Have a great evening

Took the '83 Rustang rag top on a ski trip to Lake Tahoe, Ca. Here by the coast had the top down in January I think it was. We get over in the San Joaquin Valley to head north to Tahoe and the wife says "You got to put the top up! It's so hot!" The thermometer in the dash said it was 40° outside.

When I took delivery of my first new convertible Mustang GT it was January 16,1985, the temperature that day in Winnipeg was -35*c, or about -31*f. I put the top down and cranked up the heat!
