It's looking promising but I need to check it out real good before I commit.
Found a low deck 40 foot trailer and a single axle Freight liner in nice shape for 20 grand.
 
well....if i may throw my honest humble opinion...why don't you just purchase a big honkin RV (used with low miles) and call it a day?
I appreciate your opinion, and I did think of that idea just would rather drive a semi than an RV. Park the trailer and still have a truck if I need it.
 
welll..then there is always the big honking RV and the little put put car trailing behind it
There’s a guy around here that mounts a smart car where the sleeper was on a highway tractor. Complete with all the gear to load and unload it. Seeing as you’re hauling your bed in the trailer seems like a no brainer.

that would be interesting to see that set up.. I guess there is a general rule in terms of the height of the vacant sleeper vrs the length of the ramp?
