Yuck!

I hate to say it (not trying to rub it in here), but "better you than me", my friend! We're having two cabinets built for the family room in the basement, and the installer needs to carry them around the house, and down a pretty steep hill, to get them in the basement door. They claim that they're "pretty close" to having them finished, and we're shooting for an install date of next week sometime.

Anyway, hoping to get both of these in before the snow gets here, as walking down that hill while carrying these...that would suck!

That's going to be a nice addition. You'll have to post a picture when you get them installed.

Will do, Fred!

I'm really looking forward to them, as it will be the first time in....a long time, I guess....that all of my records (LPs, 78's, and 45's) will be in the same spot.

And having the TV mounted on the wall again (opposite wall), instead of sitting on some "brick and board architecture", will be really nice!

Only took us 2-1/2 years to finish this part of the move-in!

Doing better than me Jim, been here for 10 years and I'm still sorting out packed boxes.

8?...you were a wolf in the hen house for cryin out loud!...I have three and that's all can handle! :) :) :)
Two was enough for me, one on his own, one still here. Don’t think for long though pretty sure he’s got himself a girlfriend. Hasn’t brought her home to meet the parents yet, but all the signs are pointing in that direction. Whoo Hoo.

So I guess you guys know what this is both my boys and their friends were stumped

way better than me...26 years, some boxes downstairs. May have been shuffled around but not looked in. It'll be like Christmas when I do!
Ya those mystery boxes have a few from when we moved across the yard into the new house from the mobile 15 years ago, have a few more from when Mom moved into the nursering home and we cleaned out her house. Should have labeled them, but where’s the fun in that. Like years ago when my friend got married we got in their house and took all the labels off the canned goods surprise what’s for dinner

Just looked in junk

drawer found 6 with out even looking to hard

After I responded initially I got thinking about where all of mine are at, and given that I have some in "this box", and some in "that box", and some more in "that box over there"....

Sure is gonna be nice to have everything in one place again!

Grandpa made me one out of cardboard so I could play them on his record player. Dad had 'em at home.
I managed to (finally!) get my hands on my grandparent's 78 RPM console record player from my aunt this past summer. It needs some TLC (two of the legs are split), and the mechanism doesn't work (my grandfather removed it when I was about 5 or so due to a broken spring), but it's all there, and the woodwork is absolutely gorgeous! Haven't done a thing with it, but if I can restore it I will.

And if not, I'll save the cabinet and put a modern TT inside of it.

Yup, we got a box of 30 cans with no labels. I'll have to remember to do that to the next young 'un that gets married.

Died a year before I was born, guess I picked up the torch and am still carrying it.

Hi guys.
I used to have 78's but when I moved out of mom and dad's they must have thrown them out.
I still have all my 45's, 33's 8-tracks, cassettes and CD's. Once in a while I get them out and play them.
Brings back a lot of great memories.
Cold and wet and just plan miserable today and will be right into next week. Might get some snow according to the weather liar.
They have had some snow up North but northing like what the prairies are getting.
Have a great evening
