Morning Mark nice ride seen a few years back, amazing builds came from bugs.Went to the car show at the funeral home last night. It was a beautiful evening and it literally filled the section where we hold the show so was a great turnout. The $5 BBQ is always a hit. We have another one Saturday night and another one at a Chev-Cadillac dealer Sunday morning 8-11.
This was one of the new vehicles last night. First time it's been on the road. Started out as a 72 Volkswagon and now has a 1900cc motor. A neat build.

They still have quite the following. They were one tough ride...you could drive the snot out those cars and they always came back for more. AKA Hitler's Revenge. lolMorning Mark nice ride seen a few years back, amazing builds came from bugs.
Yep destroyed a few in my day hard to kill one. Use to set a ramp up in a friends field and roll them over. pretty easy to put them back on there wheels. They still have quite the following. A guy I used to work with had one and was going to take it to the bone yard. He fired up the motor and put a brick on the gas pedal and walked away. Half an hour later his mom asked what the noise was outside. The motor was still screaming but never blew up so he drove it to the boneyard. One tough car. We can go to a car show every night of the week and most are local. One is a 40 minute ride but all through the countryside and always a huge turnout.Yep destroyed a few in my day hard to kill one. Sounds like you got lots of car shows to got to so far this year, have fun.
Always liked VW's. Lots of shows for sure. Would be nice someday to take mine up there and go with you.A guy I used to work with had one and was going to take it to the bone yard. My first car was a 1961 VW , used to race it at the track in Windsor, the announcer used to call it the pregnant roller skate. Boy now we are going back...lol.They still have quite the following. Would be nice but not enough money to get everything done this year and not real good at doing the running gear so will have to ask for some help from you after paint and setting up the suspension if you don't mind.Oh buddy can’t wait , the speed you work it’ll be on the road this summer fer sure.
You took it apart just put it back the same wayWould be nice but not enough money to get everything done this year and not real good at doing the running gear so will have to ask for some help from you after paint and setting up the suspension if you don't mind.

Just never had a torsion bar out this was my first time. I figured it is easy but just making sure.Torsion bar setting is easy Fred. No stroke for a swimmer.
That's a good price we can do that. Your car in the body shop ?Torsion bars are a piece of cake, first thing I do is torch em in half. Then I toss them in the metal recycle bin. Hah! Being a racer not a restoration guy is quite liberating! But my sincere thanks to all you guys for tolerating me anyway! Part of the reason I love FABO, truly a live and let live group. You want a twenty page beat down go on the E body site. We will walk you thru it Fred, for a price...... Think good whiskey!
That's from breathing paint fumes all day makes us nasty to deal with. Not yet, all I have to do is put it in race trailer and deliver it once he tells me to. I will load up early so when he says bring it I can pounce. You painters are a squirrelly bunch!
