The info that I have on most of them is they left through the port in Bremmen and arrived in Maryland. Then came to Michigan through Pennsylvania.

We left Bremen on a ship by the name of the Arosa Kulm , landed in Quebec in April 27 1957 . Then came to Harrow Ontario.

I was born in Hamburg Germany , came over to Canada when I was 6 , became a Canadian citizen at 16 .

i take it you became a citizen because your parents moved there legally, and you were a minor when you came over? thats how my wife became a US citizen

as for Bremen...i have a cousin who somehow ended up marrying a german, and they settled there

Hey howdy fellas you all been busy ! My grandfather was from Belgium no idea where grandma was from back east in Canada I was told ? Everyone is dead so no asking who ,what , wear .

belgium is one of my favorite places
they are some of the warmest people you'll ever meet, and i love their food
(contrary to popular belief, they are the once who invented french fries)
and you will not find any better chocolatiers then the belgians

Italian here and not sure what part but there is a town there that is called the same as me Scigliano.

With Out Papers I learned that when I was researching my family records.
From what I know if you came to the States from another Country back in the old days you were tagged with out papers and the Italians were the worse.
You find anything on your research.

Grand dad worked in the coal mines in Wyoming. Frank is my uncle that I got the book from that gave me some knowledge of my grand dad that he and my grandma died before I was born.
Don't know much of my back ground but hard working people back then.

Is "A" body the "Ghetto" of the classic Mopar world? I only ask because I have A,B and E body Mopars. And I belong to all 3 sites. And the topics of discussions are VERY different? B-bodies talk a lot about higher end numbers matching builds. E-bodies is a mad parts scramble. A-bodies? "Can I use a '78 F-body 6 cyl distributor cap on my '76 Aspen?" Ok. If this is not the "Last" post? Then Im thinking this thread is a scam?

Travel there is...different
The countries in Europe are considerably smaller then the US or Canada, and traveling between them is like traveling between states or territories , as far as ease goes

But you find yourself in a different country with different customs and languages, and most importantly, different food
And don't forget driving on different sides of the road also. I'm used to driving on the other side of the road so not difficult for me. Other people not so good. We found the best place to eat in the U.K. is the pubs. Only been to the U.K. so far but would love to do Europe. As long as I can still drive I'll always rent a car, this way we can go to where we want to go and see not held captive by the bus driver.
BTW.. we did a comparison of the size of England to Canada. England is half the size of our Province of Ontario.
I was born there just outside London in mom and dad's house in 1949 and came to Canada in 1957. March 10th we'll have been here for 64 years. My sister was born in the hospital as she was first but after that any other kids born were born at home with a midwife.

You can always join Ancestry.com or there is also one in Utah. That one is free and done by the Mormans. My wife has gone way back in both our family trees. Seems there's a lot of nuts in mine lol.
