This manifold corresponds to a 340 number but has a date of 1/15/1974.

Also, the exhaust ports in the center divided.

I thought the center two ports on 340 manifolds were one hole like this one here …

Is the 3614368-2 a 360 manifold? If it is a 340 manifold why does it have a casting date in 1974? What is the corresponding RH side manifold? 3418623?

Thanks for any clarification provided.

360 manifold. Same number continued to be used on the 360 after the 340 was discontinued.
The 340 (and then the 360 without air injection) manifolds had individual exhaust ports, the common center port you have pictured was a 273/318 thing (I'm guessing that manifold was on a 340/360, you can see the carbon witness marks from the port mismatch).
Hint- 340s used a flat exhaust pipe flange, 273/318 used the flare/bell flange. 360 varied by application.

Do you know what RH manifold would go with it?

3614368 is 72-74 340 and 360-4

I *believe* it's a 3418623- should be a common number shared with other applications beside the A body. Uses a common center port and bell exhaust unlike earlier 340 RH manifolds.

Thanks. Thats the same number I saw that goes with a 1973 340 manifold but since learning this RH manifold is 360 I was unsure. I was using the exhaust manifold thread through the search function but 360 manifold listings were incomplete.

The 340/360 used identical casting numbers in many cases, but a casting date of late '73 and after (post 340 production) would indicate 360 usage.

So what would be the correct right side casting number to go with the left casting 2863553 that was used on 68-71 340 dusters?

I have a 34118623 dated 4-16-71 but has a ball for mounting and my left side 2863553 has flat flange is that going to work when I order my exhaust from Accurate exhaust by the way they ask you what castings you are using .

That's a 71-73 A, B, and E body 340 and C body with a 360. I think you can mis-match manifolds and Accurate can get you the correct head pipe.

I like the center port divider! How far into the ports does the divider go?
