Leaf spring bushing adapter ?

Is it possible to use a 5/8 to 1/2 sleeve bushing adapter on the front leaf spring? The front bushing I have now takes a 5/8 bolt, but my 71 Dart is set up with the 1/2 bolt. I really don’t want to do any drilling, or buy new parts if I do not have to. (Other than the sleeve) The sleeve does slide in and out of the bushing fairly easily. Maybe somebody has done this before? I’m assuming the OD of the bushing would have to be bigger than 5/8 since the bolt is 5/8 itself. Anyway, if anybody has any input or info it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I spun a couple up on the lathe and pressed them into the 5/8 bushing. Works like a champ.
