I'm tracking down a "tranny pan" leak...

slant 6 904A

If I'm getting a leak right at the screws (under the washer) on the tranny pan is it a screw issue or a gasket issue? Looks like it's only two of the screws that have this going on.

So far it looks like I'm getting a leak at the dipstick O-ring and shifter selector seal - but now I'm thinking the screws might also be an issue.

fyi I did just replace the gasket but not with the factory one as is suggested on other threads...I have a feeling that's coming next too.

thanks!

If it's leaking at the dipstick or the shifter, change those first. The fluid can be leaking down and making it look like it's the pan gasket.
