I was helping a friend out at the track pretty much all day. Thanks for the offer thoughI saw your car but not you. Couldn't buy you a beer!
I think you won a trophy. They were calling names and nobody showed up then they said a 65 Valiant. I turned around and your car wasn’t there so I’m assuming it was you. Nice car BTWSo far, the weather looks good... I'll be there for the show.
Thanks for the compliment!! We didn't stay all day, unfortunately. What time did they announce winners??I think you won a trophy. They were calling names and nobody showed up then they said a 65 Valiant. I turned around and your car wasn’t there so I’m assuming it was you. Nice car BTW
There was a time that it was Mopars only, and on a Saturday. The place was packed and all the staging lanes were full and the show car area was full too. At least the show car area was almost full this time around. My car made it up there and back which was a win!! I picked this car up last year and so far, I couldn't be happier.Great day and a good turnout for a re-schedule. These things are so much better when people show up! Probably one of the better ones in the last several years. Always fun to catch up with old friends and new acquaintances too.
Looked like it might have been tough to hook early because of the lower ambient temps but eventually there were a couple decent runs. I know I'm preaching to the choir here but I can definitely do without the TnT import clown cars.
Love seeing some of the show cars out in the wild on the way up and going home. Such a rare sight these days.
The swap meet has been in decline for a long time but somehow today seemed less pathetic than previous years.
Keep showing up folks it will only get better.
Maybe 2:30-3:00. I wasn’t paying attention to the time. Thanks for the compliment!! We didn't stay all day, unfortunately. What time did they announce winners??
Thanks for those pictures!!! The first 9 were me and my Mopar buddies driving up the Taconic State Parkway. We live just over an hour away. It was a great show this year. Great cars, people and racing action. Swap meet was small but a little bigger than previous years.Yeah, Mopars at the Valley has always been well attended in the past but what can you do, just seems par for the course with this kind of thing these days. At least this year’s event was more promising. Mopar Atlantic Nationals at ETown died a long, slow death, it was so lame at the end. Like I’ve said, people just need to get off their butts and come out for these things. What else do you have to do? I’ll keep going as long as the events are made available to us.
Here’s a link to my photos.
