LED 1004 dome lamp?

Has anyone replaced their dome lamp with an LED lamp? Less heat on the plastic lens? Just wondering.

I don't like the looks of that particular light. Looks cheap and poorly thought out. Less current and heat are valid reasons to switch to led dome lights. I would probably find a circuit board style replacement unit like this one that fits inside your domelight housing.

That was the only one I saw with a single search. That's pretty nice what you found here. Has anybody tried these in a standard 70's mopar dome light housing?

i have not, but I don't have the bulb in my car I leave it in the ashtray until I need it and then just pop it in. I also don't leave the cover on it so it isn't that big a deal to install the bulb. Here is another site to try. I haven't bought from either of the sites I have posted so I don't know about their reliability.

I've read comments on the first site and some people have complained intense heat. It was my understanding that LEDs were cooler. Don't know if that's defective or not. Guess it requires more research.
