Years ago when I had a Painful wiring harness in my 70 I pulled the drivers side vent box and made a block off plate that I hung the fuse block from. Only downside to this setup is you have account for the water that can collect on the block off plate.

That looks pretty easy on the firewall, I was trying to figure out how to mount it in the original location.

Thanks for the close ups of the american autowire set up... I am leaning towards the ron francis, but really like the looks of that kit also... did you cover the old fire wall plug?

i eliminated the plug all together. figured every joint is a possible problem. i swore i had pics of the fuse box all wired up but can't find them. i'll have to snap a few pics when i get the car out again.
