I know there have been a few threads in the past devoted to showing off engine inductions and engine bays and things similar but I figured I would make a thread devoted to showing off engines that people have put time into to make them look as good as the car they were going it ....lets just call it "engine candy".

Ill start the thread off.

I have built many engines and I ALWAYS take the time to make them purdy.....I figure if I have the engine out to make it run new I might aswell atleast make it look new too.

some of the engines I went the extra mile and popped in as much detail and " bling factor" as I could.

sadly I do not have any pictures of alot of them I built due to a house fire a few years ago.

but I do have a few to share.....check them out.

This 347 stroker I built for an 85 mustang gt t-top 5 speed car I had.....I had put alot of miles on it at the point this picture was taken so it had dulled down alot, plus its not the best picture but I figured I would share anyhow

this is a 306 I built in a 94 mustang gt 5 speed....again sorry for the bad picture but its the only one I have of it.....hard to tell how nice the engine looks with all the BS emissions crap in the way lol

Now this here is my old 1995 Pontiac Firebird Firehawk 6 speed stick 350 LT1 that I built, I built it up as a 388 LT1 stroker. I put ALOT of detail into this one.....every bolt was painted, I put "LT1" on the oil cap, I put 388LT1 on the fuel rails, I put 388LT1 on the blocks ID boss pad....tons and tons of stuff. I painted the entire engine in a ruby red metallic and clear coated it and I accented everything else with aluminum....here are a few pictures of it. P.S. let me suggest never working on one of these engines...or cars for that matter!, have the engine sits under the dash lol and the engines use an optispark distributor on the front of the engine...a few other design flaws aswell.

And last but not least is my "318" that I have built and pumped up some....it is currently in my duster and runs like a champ. I put alot of detail into this one also but I kept it clean and simple for the most part. I thought the orange and aluminum and black was a nice contrast against the plum crazy purple of the duster and made for a great "jewelry box effect"

well those are all the pictures I could find of mine at the moment.....so lets see what pretty engines you guys have to show!.

also this is not limited to mopar.....its just to share the beauty of engines people have worked on rather it be a little bit of spray paint or full on base clear and chrome or aluminum everywhere.

They look good. I have only built one engine, the 403 in my Jeep. I had some left over paint so I painted the 46RH to. My 383 will be my second build.

Nice lookin stuff there! The 318 looks great! I really like the lt1, very clean. Here are a couple I have at the moment. First is the 440 in my dart. Second is a 350 in a 79 camaro. Third is a 5.4 that went into a lightning.

They look good guys:cheers:

I suppose folks can toss in tranny pictures also....I just figured most people did not bother prettying up the tranny so I catered the thread to the engine aspect.

but if you have a pretty tranny (does not sound right at all HAHAHA) by all means...post some pictures!!!

Here is what I put in my duster after I spiffed it all up and got my new stall converter.
