Linkage adjustment

i have a hurst super shifter with push down style reverse that DOES NOT have the alignment holes, so I used a small clamp to hold the 3 arms in the same spot, adjust linkage rods and go for a drive, works fine but after a few shift cycles the adjustment is off.... slightly re adjust and same thing.
It's always the 1-2 rod that comes in and out of adjustment.
Any suggestions?
