I'm working for a customer with his new house and noticed a car on the property and asked him about it and he told me it has a 440 big block motor.
He said the car was loosing power and found the a/c unit was seized up so he started to pull it and ended up pulling the motor and didn't find anything wrong with it. Then he found that the muffler was clogged and that was the problem with having no power. He still has the block all torn down and looked clean when torn down nothing seemed to be worn. So it has sat for ten years and the car was from the valley in southern cal and sat covered. The interior is baked like crispy not to mention needing a full restore.
Here are a few pictures I took yesterday.

Those cars are cool, I think around `71 they offered a 440-6 pack. I bet getting parts for that car would be near impossible.

There was a thread on here within the past couple weeks about the Interceptor. Them things are rare!! Cool looking little car...a 440 in that thing...DAMN!! I'd try prying it out of his hands!

Those cars have some bitchin' valve covers, was bidding on some on ebay awhile back, think they went for like $127.00...

those are pretty cool cars, odd to see one with the steeeringwheel on the right side of the car for once ;) and they got highperf engines long after american mopars stoped having them atleast here in europe.

Apparently this one is a 73 coupe 440 four barrel model and there were about 1500 made total. I tried to open the hood but the cable to release it was frozen[Rusted}. The leather seats cracked when I nealed on them to release the cable.Later I asked him about the car in more detail and that's when he told me the engine was out of the car and fully disassembled, probably at his shop, but he said it was all there and ran fine before he tore it apart because the muffler was clogged . The owner said they made a model that was an all wheel drive convertible model and was really rare.

That's not a coupe. They only made something like 50 or 60 coupes.

I don't know if any convertibles were AWD, but the AWD cars had 4 wheel anti-lock disc brakes, the first production car to ever to have that feature.

While being difficult to find parts I would bet that a number of the parts could be found on other British cars of the same era. Exterior trim parts, body panels, etc...could be difficult I would imagine.

The drive train being Mopar should be easy.

I have always loved v8 British cars.

You can still buy parts for these here in England the owners club bought all the tooling as well so they can make body panels etc , and they can also give you the history of the car , Jensen bought truck 440 's from mopar in a batch so all the 440's have six pack rods etc at least every one I have rebiult has so far

i drove a freind's 440 jensen back in the day. it was right hand drive and ran like a scalded cat. they were kinda heavy but big american power made up for it.

Well I don't know much about these car but it looks like it's a coupe to me from what I have seen?
Here's a link that someone else is calling it a coupe?
