my first post on here!!!!! hi all, welcome......welcome.....thank you.......thank you......nice to be here........ok now that we have all met and that is over with, i am looking for a 1970 to 1972 dart swinger 2 door. does not matter which engine, I am mainly looking for a car that will not need major body work. with or without engine. I am in Friendswood texas, and can have access to a trailer if I need to come pick it up, if not too far. I am not looking for that really nice resto that you just completed or a numbers matching 340 4speed model that granny had tucked away in the barn. I just want something that me and my kids can spend some quality time working on and let me teach them some things about working on cars, and get to spend some quality time with them. If you have one or know where one is........point me in the right direction.

No real rust issues, solid body. original 318 AC car. Ice blue exterior, blue interior, black top.

1200 with a 7 1/4 rear
1500 with an A body 8.75
 
I know of a 68 dart gt in abilene tx complete minus engine need full resto but nice car. If interested PM me and I'll put you in contact. Oh and welcome!

still looking, I am not in a real hurry, plus also, we are gonna go see about a new car for the wife this weekend. maybe a suv instead of a car that way maybe i can rent a trailer and go pick one up instead of borrowing.........
 
yeah, I know. I am not in a rush, and my wife just graduated so more income is on the way!!!!!!!! I have built this car in my head about a thousand times, just have to find the right one....ya know.

i have been checking craigslist too. some of those I had not seen before. I am at work right now so I will check them out when I get home. I know I may be sounding cheap, but I saw two on other sites, one was complete but super rust for 3k did not run, the other was no engine or trans and some what rusty for 2200. i am really tring to keep the initial investment less than 1k if possible. other than RMS, is there any other suspension company that sells a coil over conversion for front and rear, with Big brake options???????

I was/am interested in y our car, I am thinking that transporting it to texas will be very costly. maybe if i get that suv we could arrange a "meet in the middle" or something?

Sorry, my sense of humor doesn't always come through in writing.

Yes I'm in Cali and trust me on this one... Start with the cleanest shell you can find even if it cost 1-2K more than a rusty one. You'll spend countless hours cutting out rusty parts and the ancilliary work that goes with it. and

As far as shipping. I could probably help getting it to southern AZ along the 10 freeway, Sierra Vista/Douglas area for round trip fuel. I'd figure the cost to ship as part of the price to get a clean shell. I'll look around and see if anyone is headed that way that might be able to get it to you. Figure about 1K to get it to you.
 
I have one and i'm in houston, needs complete resto but not alot of rust. make me an offer. 281 772 1734 s. hanson
