Go to stockmopar.com, they should have most if not all the answers on their fender tag decoder for the year of your vehicle. They had everything for my '73 Charger.

Yup, that's about as plain Jane as you could get on a '73 Duster.

i dont think it can get anymore basic. the color is cool and the emblems are nice.but at least im not hurting any value by hot rodding the crap out of it lol and i didnt pay crap for it and ive already put a small block and 727 in it ...

B14 = Scheduled production Date SPD of November 14, 1972.

Not much on the tag. U = built to US spec.

Yah, well, the website you mentioned didn't work for my fender tag. Went to unknown on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th codes

sorry,it worked for my 73 duster and my charger. if you post up your codes ,someone can do it im sure.

I know the placing of the code info is very sensitive, if you are off by one space then it throws everything off. Like 73 said, if you place your codes on here we can all chip in and give it a shot.

The paint on the tag makes tough reading on a couple of the codes but here is how I see it:

END

W1 W1 L28 B7 B01 125053

E31 D31 LL23 D9B 19631

Was a numbers matching w/273 until motor pulled and replaced with 318. Nice 318 though. Thanks for the help guys and I do get a few of these but need help, so rather have a full run down.

That's pretty much what you have.....a real basic all white '69 Dart 2dr HT with a 273 and a 904 with a build date of Nov 1st '68 at Hamtramck. I don't know what the L28 or B7 is either.

The L28 should read L2B and I believe the B7 stands for B7 Blue

Plefe, the L2B should be 'Low grade vinyl bench seats in blue'. The W1 pops up for two, possibly three different things on the sites I looked at, Alpine White body color, hubcaps, and maybe upper door color of white, however, you also show a B7 code which shows up as a blue metallic color, and maybe that's the upper door color. A little difficult whithout actually seeing the tag, but all the things the guys told you earlier seem correct. Good Luck!

Holy cow.......

If you bought the car with those tags you should try to get your money back.

The first two W1 codes on second line are roof and body color.

B7 is upper door frame color as mentioned.

So, your basic white 2 dr hardtop with totally blue interior. Pretty basic and boring fender tag, but what a nice car for the money.
