looking for KKS radiator reviews

I am the OP for this thread. I got a Cold Case Radiator for my most recent build because they were proactive enough to pm me when I started this thread and make an argument for the quality of their products and their willingness to stand behind them. Since I was building a car for long distance trips, I was really concerned about having problems in the middle of nowhere. I put 6000 miles driving the car across country last year and had not a bit of issue with cooling even though it was 2 lane blacktop across CA, AZ, NM, TX and OK on Rt 66 in the middle of summer.

The same guy that responded here recently was my contact and as he mentioned he made me an excellent deal on the Radiator. I did have to fab some simple brackets for the four bolts for the fan shroud, but not a really big deal.

Thanks for the update. I just pulled the trigger on the Cold Case Radiator that Chris recommended. The unit is in stick and should ship tomorrow. Glad you had good luck with yours. I support people who support their products. Cold Case so far is excellent service. KKS must be defunct for now anyway. Buying from China these days must be a **** show. I am glad I am not working there anymore.

Just a heads up on that Cold Case radiator, if you get the same one I did, 756A, it is a 1/2" thicker, so 3 1/2" rather than 3", than their site lists due to the front of the brackets not being flush with the core. Also had to massage the brackets slightly to clear the bolts for the A/C condenser on the driver side, not quite in the right location for my 68 Dart. Overall I'm pleased with the radiator, hasn't been in long or driven too far yet, so time will tell.

The radiator kit is another matter entirely though, it is over 3/4" thicker than the site lists, so 7 1/4" instead of 6 1/2", made it not fit in my car without more modifications than I was willing to do at the time. It also does not include a wiring harness for the electric fan even though the specs indicated the wiring was included.

Just making you aware, not trying to discourage you from purchasing from them, like I said, the radiator seems quality and fit with minor mods.

Thanks my application is entirely different. I have a 1970 Sport Satellite bbody. So I ordered the MOP750A. I have a lot of room and an existing electric fan set up. I’ll post here how it goes but I doubt Ilhave much issues that I can’t handle.

BTW KKS has not gotten back to me. I think they closed their office or worse are out of business…….
