Looking for professional engine builder/machinist

Looking for machinist/engine builder interested in making changes to an R3 416. Currently 4.040 W2 engine wanting to build a 4.250 W9 engine. Any suggestions? Previously built by IMM engines.

I would love to have Brian perform the work, he is such a professional. I had already waited a year and got a little impatient with the previous build, I can only assume he is not interested in the project, several emails unanswered.

Same exact thing. Almost a year, I think he actually forgot he had my block and parts for awhile. Nice enough guy but shitty communication when you’re building a $1X,000 engine. I even started thinking maybe I did something and he didn’t like me. It was weird. Maybe if it was a $20,000+ build you get better service, idk?
I have a friend who has a machine shop in Chula Vista, CA ( Cogswell )and I just sent him a set of heads and an intake to work on. He’s die hard Mopar guy too but couldn’t bush my lifter bores and doesn’t have a dyno so I went to IMM.

Wow, Deja Vu. I felt the same. Had two builds, first was an X block build, broke the block. Then the clock started again with the R3.

Who is IMM? I’m not as knowledgeable as most of the people on this web site. I live in the Lake Havasu (north western corner of Arizona) area and can go North/South/East/West. The guy I used to use here in town retired.

The problem with builds like that, is they are extremely complicated with lots of little nuances to deal with. As a professional engine builder, I would personally not be interested in a build like that, I could literally build 3 or 4 street/strip conventional 408s in the same time frame, and probably make a lot more money.

Randy Beyer racing in Gretna Nebaska. Races a small block Mopar in NHRA comp eliminator. No BS and a very nice guy.
