lost 1st gear in 727

i lost 1st gear again in my 727 tranny,its a drag car behind a 440,its the 3rd time in 3 years,im doing my burnout right,starting out in 2nd and go to 3rd and let it pull itself out,i have a trans break,car runs 9.80,,what is going on or can prevent this

I'm gonna take a wild guess that its "lost 1st gear" like the threads title ;-)

at the line,1st gear just goes out after the burnout,rev and all other gears ok
