Found a old school steel 440 crank/383 rodded/ trw piston 432 setup. Pistons I already have, the rest is machined and ready to go . Anyone had any experience with this combo, feel free to share. Thanks.

we cut the mains .120 to fit the block, and had to cut .100 off the counterweights to clear the block. Used an eagle h beam rod and a diamond forged piston.

A start. Thank you.

When researching my 432 build, I found info for long and short rods....use long 440 rods or short 383 rods. Some info said the shorter rod and associated shorter dwell time at TDC would help reduce detonation. I am running iron 906 heads so thought less detonation would be a plus.
I am just finishing a 432 street build, with Scat forged crank...had to cut .10 off the counterweights to clear the block and bottoms of Diamond forged pistons. I used the short 383 rods with ARP bolts.
Fisher summed up the main details. the rest of the build had no surprises. I am just sorting out the fuel mixture at my altitude 5200 ft. Engine runs well.

I ran out of the box EDDy rpm performer heads and intake, 750AED HOM carb. with 71 jets pri with power valve and 85 secondary. TTI 1-3/4 headers lunati solid flat tappet cam.

Motor made great torque, and revs / responded quick on the dyno, i was very happy with it. Just need to get it into the car now.

Most likely ,440 Source Stealths. Crower 32244 hydraulic NT/EXH - Dur @ .050” Lift: 238°/249° RR: 1.5/1.5 Gross Lift: .534”/.552” LSA: 112° RPM: 2000 to 6000 Redline: 6500
