Low voltage at gauge, no charge?

I would "guess" perhaps the low voltage due to the no charge condition might be making the ignition do some funky things causing the knock/detonation.

Our guess was correct, now that everything has been fixed up, all funky knocking has stopped

@67Dart273 My brother in law has a 67 Cuda and he would like to do this upgrade as well, is his wiring the same as mine, would the procedure be any different?
