We have early A body 4 piston disc, on the 72 Duster. Just can't mount the backing plates with the one's with no thraeds. The ball joints we took off had threads. I ordered two sets so far, the new one's do not have threads, Thay told I am out of luck. Any ideas? thank yall.

Are you coming up with MOOG K7021R and K7023L? I know that '73 up ball joints are not threaded for the spindle bolts. '72's were. You may need a longer bolt with a nylock nut.

I will check on the moog part #'s you posted, , We are now using the one without threads, Sure would like to put the backing plates back on . We do alot of driving in the rain. thanks grumpuscreature Don

I was thinking ,"What threads is he refering too ? Uppers are threaded but lowers aren't " Boy was I blonde.
I can believe the aftermarket narrowed down the repops to 'one size fits all'. Longer bolts with nuts would be less expensive than helicoils which would keep that stock apearance. Cheers
