Ive been watching all the videos, i like the 1/38 tap method.
My question is what tap do i buy ?
1. taper?
2. plug?
3. bottom?
any advice will be appreciated...rich

Just a regular tap. I got mine on eBay for like $15. That was quite a few years ago, though.

YES, they all work.
I would guess i would really like to use a plug, or bottoming tap, as the threads will cut down lower into the bushing shell, that you are trying to get out of the LCA.

You got me curious about 1- 3/8" tap costs these days.

You're tapping threads into something that has none. The tapered tap is really the most "correct" as it's the easiest to get started and generally cuts a little easier than the other two types. Just my personal experience.
