Lower dustcap help!

Hey need some help here, floor shift column for 68 dart I bought has cracked lower dustcap for shaft. The new ones all have screws and as you can see and this one just presses in. Any Suggestions, The boy's Dart is dead in the Driveway for now, until I figure this out! Ben

I'll have to look around see whats here. I thought those were all held in with screws.

Yes, so did I, there are no holes in either the end of the column nor the plastic dust cap like the ones for the column shift. I bought the column on the ebag and it said out of a 67 dart gt. I might have to sharpen my drill and buy the one with the screws that they re-pop, huh.
