lube for 8.375

i have a sure grip clutch type / what kind of lube do i use ? can i run a synthetic and do i need an adative for the unit thanks guys

If it's a factory unit then yes

I am not a fan of Pennzoil motor oil but they have a good synthetic gear lube and a great manual trans lube. I tried the Syn lube in my Dart and didn't like it.
I have a couple noisy bearings and the original type lube made it quieter. 8.75's
don't use anything fancy that I know of except posi's need the posi lube of course. toolman

I've used Amsoil 100% synthetic gear oil in a '68 b body dana 60 clutch type sure grip for years with no problems. It always locked up both wheels and didn't chatter at all.
I never put in any additives with it, just straight out of the bottle.
I ran it that way for several years with no changes.

I use 80-90 gear oil with the sure-grip additive.It,s what,s recommended.
