Does anyone know how much machine is required to put a solid roller cam into a 48 degree R3 block? I have seen pictures of the 59 degree R3 blocks which require quite a bit of machining to get the clearance needed for the guide bars. I have not seen or heard anything about the 48 degree blocks.

Aside from the cam cores for use in a 48 degree block, are there any other special requirements or differences to using a 48 degree block?

Thank you

Comp Cams has new lifters with relocated tie bars to clear the valley better with little or no clearancing for 59 degree blocks. Don't think 48 degree has near the problem.
