Well I hope to soon get a 72 dart and will be installing a 360 EFI and over drive transmission. But I have a few questions. Is there one year magnum 360 to look for?
I have a pick and pull that has them in trucks, jeeps etc that I can pick from.

Also at first at am just going to drive it with the stock 360 EFI set up, but in a year etc I would like to add a turbo. Will or can the stock pcm/ fuel system handle a turbo?? If not what would I need to get. My goal is to get the car to run in the low tens in the 1/4 but still beable to drive it on the street etc. The turbo part is probably just a pipe dream.

In regards to the engine selection. They are all the same between the years, but you have to go with an OBD2 1996-2002 vehicle if you plan on using the stock ECM, and going with a turbo down the road.

The stock fuel pump will not support a boosted application. You would need to upgrade that for sure, and also add in an adjustable regulator. When you need a tune get in touch with FlyinRyan who is on this board and also has a website www.frptuning.com

I have been running a turboed magnum in my Valiant, using a stock ECM for almost a year tuned by Ryan. He is the man.

you can run 5.9 44RE just fine, it will also run with a turbo and you will need it to get into low 10's. I would start with 5.9 short block, EQ's , cam, intake, TB and injectors with a flash. That will get you into 12's pretty easily with correct set up. Turbo will get you the rest. Our site has lots of info on Magnums swaps and performance upgrades. Anything you do will require a flash which several people do, we have them listed on site. We also have pre built harness for factory FI. The GPA 4 pump will supply up to 600 hp which is what we speck all our tanks inc tanks with. PM for more info, Evan Magnummopar.

There may be several people who can flash an ecm, but there are VERY few who know what the hell they are doing when it comes to boost and a factory ecm. I wouldn't trust anyone else but Ryan.

Haven't actually ran the car on the track yet. Once the car is dialed in again, and I get a set of caltracs and some drag radials I will be running it. Should dip in to the 10's without working it too hard. With the small turbo it put down almost 450 to the wheel.

Let me know if you need any help putting a combo together. We have better deals on EQ than Jegs plus gas tanks, FI line kits and lots of cams. We also deal with Ryan and he does great work, specially on turbo and big cam stuff.

So the factory ECM can ge flashed for boost? Interesting, could end up cheaper than cobbling an MS together? Whats a flash cost, ballpark $$ ?

Ryan charges I believe $599 for boosted applications. That includes the handheld, and a number of file revisions. Yes the ecm can be made to work with boost. Just need a 2 bar map, and a set of bigger injectors.
