Project : 2003 durango 5.9 360 v8, pistons and rings replacement

Bought new STD size pistons and rings as cylinders walls looks super clean and shouldn't need boring
However 1st ring gap measures 0.023-0.025
Recommended is 0.020 MAX as per manual for 1st ring
Which means 0.003 - 0.005 more in 1st rings gaps due to high mileage wear

The question is :

Can I still run these new rings with these gaps measures ?
Or should I consider oversizing them to maintain recommended gaps?

The car is for daily driving

Zero problem whatsoever. I’ve run 032 top and 030 2nd gaps on turbo magnums and off boost they run great. You won’t notice a bit of difference. In fact I wouldn’t put a stock one together with gaps at 020.

FWIW, the 5.9 I just put together with just a fresh hone measured out to .028-.029 on the ring gaps. I agree with @TT5.9mag, run it.
