Does anyone know who produces or has Distributor cap Clips for Mallory YL dual point Distributors? I believe Mallory Unilites use the same spring clips.

You are better off to get the cap that converts those distributors to an HEI style on the cap and in that kit it converts the cap to screw down clamps. I’ll see if I can find the part number for it and post it here.

Since MSD bought Mallory they have been eliminating part numbers. The part number you need is a Mallory 29509. MSD does not have them, nor are they going to make them. They are available on eBay and such. I suggest you get one now or you won’t get one. Those clip style caps with the female sockets are garbage. This is the only way I know of to eliminate them. Once you get the 29509 you have everything. When the time comes to replace the cap you order a Mallory 208M cap and you are set. MSD did confirm they will continue to support the 208M part number. Better hurry or you’ll be stuck with that sorry cap.

Start a parts wanted thread. May be someone has one laying around you could rob parts from.

Any idea about when MSD bought Mallory?
