Manifolds or cheap Headers?

Got a chance to either get a set of manifolds off a 72 318 car for my 72 Dart with mild 360 for $50...or should I just get a cheap set of headers for the better flow?...Cons for manifolds are restrictive....and for headers are clearance...pros for headers are flow and for manifolds are clearance...just asking the question...eventually I plan on getting a set of tti or dougs...or possibly letting my friend fab up a set...

Definitely go manifolds until you decide to go with a high quality set of headers. I had cheap hedmans on my Duster, hated them (too many problems to list).

Yes. Avoid the cheap headers. Do it once & do it right using locking header bolts. You'll be glad in the long run.

Manifolds...you should never have to replace them.

Shouldn't be any leaks either.

Thanks everyone...went and got the manifolds from pick a part today along with the 90 degree filter adapter and quite a bit of window trim..and the headlight and wiper switches.all for 60 bucks....thinking of going back and getting the rest of the trim...:glasses7:
