manual valve body shifter

Has anyone ever used a manual valve body with a factory console shifter?

if so then how did it work out and were there any modifications to the shifter needed?

Are you going to use a Reverse pattern or the forward pattern...

the slap stick auto shift will work with a forward pattern....and there was someone on the internet that sold a new gate to convert the slap stick to a reverse pattern...

I use the factory slap stick with my forward pattern in my 70 cuda

I've used the factory floor shifter with both manual valve bodies.

The reverse manual works great with a little practice, using the palm to depress the button.. I've used that on my car for decades..

On the forward shift,, I weld a stop so the botton has to be depressed to go from "d" to neutral, otherwise an accidental shift to neutral could be VERY costly..

wow, I had no idea such a thing even exists ....for the price its worth it to get one and experiment with it to see if it works the way I have in mind.

I am kicking around the idea of building a car with an auto ...I have never run an auto before.

I tried that Duncan Motorsports shifter add on and worked and filed and worked and filed and never could get it just right. Took it out and put in a B&M Quicksilver
