Mark Worman Career Move

-
As for Graveyard Carz, i actually like the show and don't mind Mark Worman's antics and sense of humor.
Hey people, there's actually a show on that centers around restoring Mopars and even shows many aspects of the build process on T.V. giving a lot of details and tips along the way and several guys hate it?
Why?
Some people aren't pleased with anything i guess............

This show is a far cry from Count's Customs and *** Monkey Rawling's show(s) where both of them are complete assholes and show very little of the builds.
And when they do a car, it has to have their own ''special touches'' that i really think is terrible.
Same goes for Foose's cars that are always two toned with big *** custom wheels and modern drive trains.
I also heard that Foose and Worman are actually nice guys in real life.

However, i do watch most of these car shows anyway because i like to see the cars and choose to ignore the extra drama, which is scripted anyway.

I watch GYC sometimes, Mark is probly a nice guy, but the made for tv drama and antics, and all the info/I could care less .
Most all those shows are worse than his, my favorite is full custom garage, he even has a little tv thing going , but not much/ likable guy .
ASSHAT rawlings aint even in my book!

The old clown that runs around buying old classic cars for resale is as bad as any, don`t watch him either.
Kindigit designs is OK too.

Never seen the show.
It's all very confusing.

You guys may have heard about the famous American automotive reality TV show “Graveyard Carz.” If yes, then you probably might be familiar with the 27 years old blonde beauty Allysa Rose, a cast member since the first Season of the show aired in 2012 in velocity network, USA.

Full Custom Garage is pretty neat.

That guy is a mechanical genius and an artist at the same time.

While a lot of the builds are not my style, I appreciate the thought and the craftsmanship.

he also does a lot of "partial builds" where the customer finishes the job.

That's pretty cool.

I like PhantonWorks out of Virginia I believe. He comes across as a very honest upfront guy an the shop seems very busy with partial to full restos and all in between. I just can't believe the $$$$ people can spend!!!!

PHANTOM WORKS now that guy is annoying!!!!!!! he comes across as a butcher to me

I think he gets customers from all different levels of income. Seems like he tries to comply with people's $$ and what they expect for their $$. You think he is a butcher you should see what I do!!! ha

It drives me crazy when these shows take a very nice, original, classic car, tear it apart, throw away nice original parts, put their standard new crap on them and feed their big egos. Jesse James was the worst of them. To Mark Worman's credit, he respects the old classics. I'm also a hot rodder, but I would only hot rod something that is too far gone to restore.

your one in a few, I have hot rodded everything I `ve ever drove, almost. Started w/ farm tractors ---------
Now just my barracuda, the p/u stays stock.

Just me thinking out loud.
I see our old Mopar hobby evolving as everything does. . The true hotrod petty much started with the 32 Ford right? Then we get to the street rod with the 40-50s cars, then the revitalization of musclecars started having value and an audience in mid 80's fianally reappear, throw in the "prosteet movement). Then the NEW muscle cars appeared. Now a 1000 crate Mopar gen 3 hemi will soon be available to the public. Rest rod and custom this and that. A car guy has so many choices.
Now the thing that has become so common is the resto rod, looks like the OEM on outside ( except those funky bandaide tires and 10 inch wheels!), but all new custom inside and drivetrain. This ain't new. But the number of shops doing this work gets bigger every day.
Then there is the guy that can afford to send his ride of for the total custom deal, a resto rod with the inique doo dahs.
I have nothing against the guy that goes to the other stuff rather than restoring the OEM deal. I understand it all. Just another form of hotrodding, which ever route is taken. Sure a FI engine has many advantage over the old carb, big discs are great, ( he who has the biggest brake roter is the biggest macho- ist guy right? ha) everyone love good seats, custom gauges in the dash is eye candy, so yes I see it all.
The future? I bet as time marches on we will see more of this resto rod stuff for sure, but these will still be the original cars, restored back to OEM we will still see the updates OEM cars, with better brakes, and warmed on SM or will it be the magnum most every time? The 60-70's cars are fast going the way of the GoodGuys street rod scene!????? Just move the 40-50 cars and put in 60-70-s cars!
Back to Mark and his niche. Lots of guys that do the resto rod deal, the total custom deal, will the OEM resto is boring, going the way of the Do DO bird or it is Doo DOO bird????/

Dam, you`d think she could do better than that !

Jeepers. I have been in Germany since 2005, so I missed all this car stuff on the telly...Oh well. Finally have my cuda here....

I like the work they do up in Ontario at the Guild, that's really some quality work and David Grainger seems really down to earth.

I agree.
I enjoy watching the shows where the people involved truly display a love of the automobile. Like talking to people, easy to tell the people with a passion and those that just have a passion for the buck44444!!!!!?????????/
We all have our niche, be it drag racing, get getting that old slant car running, or like Worman, he has a business and a living to make with his business, and even though he is full of himself on TV, I bet he still loves doing what he does every day.
