(MATS) 2017 Mopars at the strip

Mopars at the strip is April 21 to 23 in Las Vegas this year. What car are you bringing, and what events will you be competing in??! Drag racing, autocross or show? Post up your rides you will be bringing.

I'll be there. Will cruise down from Utah in my 67 Dart, and would like to enter in some autocross driving. Maybe a drag race too since Ive never done that.

If there is anyone north of Las Vegas who is going, I would love to meet up, and cruise down there together.

I still need to find a hotel room, but the plan is to go and autocross all weekend.

my two daughters and I will be there. Drag racing the Dart..Duster and Demon. Probably be in the swap meet trying to sell few parts again...
 
Anyone know of any hotels with rooms available? Otherwise, I may just stay at the MGM as my cousin works there and could probably get me a deal.

There seems to be a cruise coming out of Utah you could meet up at.

Thanks for the info. I also saw that on their website, but the date on the Utah cruise is 2016. Hopefully there will be some updated info about it soon. Em excited to check you car out MuuMuu101. I read threw your build thread and you have a very similar vision as I have for mine. Your is just much further along, so it will be nice to meet up at MATS.

Yes , every year a group drives down from Salt Lake,You can meet up and drive down with them. The MoPower cruise is done with Mopar Collectors Guide Magazine. There are groups from Utah,Colorado, Arizona, and California every year.You may find more at the magazine web site.

I may have to skip out this year. No hotel rooms nearby and too expensive elsewhere.

I found a cheap room at the Lucky Club Hotel & Casino that's close by. Average nightly rate of $62.99. Check to see if there's still availability! I plan to drive up with OCDart on Thursday morning, would be cool to have you come along. I'll be cruising up in the 70 Dart!

I'll look into it. It seems like my trips are starting to get more expensive and my vacation days are thinning out.

Checkout the Downtown hotels, they can be pretty reasonable. The Gold Spike is not too bad if you're basically looking for a place to sleep. Downtown Grand, The D, 4 Queens and El Cortez sometimes have deals also.

My cousin who lives in the suburbs of Vegas said I could crash with her for the weekend. She said she was about 45 mins from the track. I still need to see if it will go together with my school schedule and how the car will perform this weekend autocrossing and all of Spring Fling.
