will I be able to run the car with the slip yoke pressed all the way in?

The reason I ask is because is this: Originally a slant six 71' Duster, now a 318 with 904... Using the same driveshaft...

Now I converted the rear end to a Ford 8.8...

The driveline will work if i can drive it with the slip yoke pressed all the way in to the tailshaft.

The reason I ask is because with the old rear end, the slip yoke was pulled out a little bit when resting on it's wheels... Does the slip yoke move in to the tailshaft as the suspension is compressed?

Thanks for the help!

you cannot run your car with the yoke pushed all the way in!!! shaft needs a lil bit of movement or you could snap off your tail piece..... modify the drive shaft....I did mine, cost me $75...well worth it and far less expensive than a trans
my 2 centavos
