Budget alternative to the $450-600 mechanical throttle body's available in the aftermarket. This started out as a stock "847" Throttle body used on chargers, 300c's, magnums,& challengers, both 5.7 & 6.1.
This one was bad electrically, so it was disassembled, all the electronics discarded, it was bored out to 84mm, matching throttle blade was CNC machined, throttle shaft was trimmed to further enhance airflow, & blade was installed using button head screws.
The casting is drilled & tapped & is set up with an 8-32 curb idle screw. Throttle lever was also CNC machined. It is designed so that it can be installed almost any position throughout 360*. Lever has 5/16" hole, so standard mopar throttle stud can be used.
There is no provision for AIS motor, or throttle position sensor. although it appears that a TPS such as Bosch 0 280 122 001 or similar could easily be adapted to the right side.
This throttle body will bolt up to any factory 5.7/6.1 manifold, car or truck.
No, I know it's not pretty, but if you're running an aftermarket efi that requires a mech. throttle body, your choices are limited. Located in Saline, Michigan
$150 pays for the ride too.
